SLAYER han desvelado la portada de su esperado nuevo y undécimo álbum titulado “Repentless”, que será publicado el próximo 11 de septiembre a través de Nuclear Blast.
La portada ha sido creada por el artista brasileño Marcelo Vasco Arts en colaboración con Tom Araya y Kerry King. Os recordamos que SLAYER estará girando a finales de octubre y comienzos de noviembre en Bilbao, A Coruña, Madrid y Barcelona junto a ANTHRAX y KVELERTAK.
También se ha desvelado la letra del tema tributo a Jeff Hanneman, podéis leerla a continuación junto con las fechas de la gira española…
La formación encargada de este lanzamiento, el undécimo álbum de la banda y el primero tras la trágica muerte de Jeff Hanneman en 2013, está formada por Paul Bostaph a la batería (quien regresó a la banda en 2013), Kerry King y Gary Holt a las guitarras (este último sustituyendo a Hanneman), y, finalmente, Tom Araya al bajo y a la voz. ¿Estarán a la altura los nuevos Slayer? El 19 de junio tendremos otra oportunidad de comprobarlo, puesto que ese día nos legarán precisamente el tema “Repentless”, que además es el single oficial. Nos habla el guitarrista Kerry King: “Es mi tributo a Jeff. Lo llamo el “HannemAnthem” (juego de palabras entre Hanneman y Anthem, himno en inglés). Es mi perspectiva de la perspectiva de Jeff, creo que si Jeff escribiera otra canción, sería como “Repentless”.
